Team Tina Balentine
Tina R. Balentine was born in Melrose, Massachusetts in 1975. She grew up in Polk County and graduated from Auburndale High School in 1993. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Music from the Florida State University in 1998. She graduated from the Florida State University College of Law in 2002.
As a law student, Ms. Balentine clerked for a Personal Injury firm in Tallahassee. She was a member of the dispute resolution society at the College of Law and participated in the Children's Advocacy Center. In September 2002, she became licensed to practice law in Florida.
Ms. Balentine began her law career at the State Attorney's Office in Bartow, where she prosecuted felonies, misdemeanors and crimes against children for over 3 years. She worked as a Claimant's attorney in the area of Workers' Compensation for almost one year. Ms. Balentine has focused her practice to the defense of self-insured employers and workers' compensation carriers in industrial claims before the judges of compensation claims, the First District Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Florida. Ms. Balentine also serves as a board member of VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly), a community-based non-profit organization.
