Ross Vecchio, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Juliana L. Curtis has joined the firm.  Ms. Curtis brings to the firm over ten years of workers' compensation defense experience. 

Ms. Curtis was born in Flint, MI in 1972.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida in 1994, where she majored in Legal Studies.

After college, Ms. Curtis worked for two years as a consultant to workers' compensation insurance carriers seeking recovery from the Special Disability Trust Fund.  Ms. Curtis then obtained her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in July 1998 and became licensed to practice law in Florida in October 1998.  As a law student, Ms. Curtis won the Victor O. Wehle Award for Best Oral Advocate and served as a Guardian Ad Litem.  She was also a member of the Moot Court Board and a founding member of S.C.O.P.E., Stetson Council on Professionalism and Ethics.

Prior to joining Ross Vecchio, Ms. Curtis was employed for over three years by a private insurance defense firm, where she exclusively handled workers' compensation claims litigation and appeals.  Ms. Curtis also worked for over three years as staff counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where she focused her practice on the defense of workers' compensation claims.  Prior to her employment at Liberty Mutual, Ms. Curtis worked for the law firm of Dubbeld & Kaelber, P.A., as a law clerk and then as an associate, where her practice consisted primarily of the defenses of workers' compensation claims and appeals.

Ms. Curtis is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar and has litigated claims before Judges of Compensation Claims throughout the state and the First District Court of Appeal.

Ms. Curtis resides in Sebring with her three daughters.
