Ross Vecchio Employee Sheila Harwood Becomes Graduate of the Guardian Ad Litem Program.
The State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program is a network of professional staff and community advocates, partnering to provide a strong voice in court and positive systemic change on behalf of Florida’s abused and neglected children.
To graduate as a Guardian ad Litem, Sheila successfully completed 30 hours of certification training. As a Guardian Ad Litem volunteer, Sheila will be appointed by the court to advocate for children who come into the court system primarily as a result of alleged abuse or neglect. We are proud of Sheila’s work in the Guardian Ad Litem Program. As of August 31, 2006, the Guardian ad Litem Program represents 28,719 children. There are currently 43,765 under the Department of Children and Family supervision and involved in court proceedings. If you would like more information on becoming a volunteer, click here.
